2024 Educational Objectives (will be updated in November 2024 for the 2025 ATDC Conference)

Upon completion of the program, the participant should be able to:

  1. Compare obesity management and challenges in T1D and T2D;
  2. Analyze current technology options and its pitfalls;
  3. Apply newer diabetes management strategies in primary care;
  4. Evaluate detection and management strategies for end organ complications;
  5. Identify new frontiers in screening and treatment.

Upon completion of this program, the participant should be able to:

Attendees of the conference will demonstrate the ability assist patients in managing type 1 diabetes by using information conveyed in the plenaries. The plenaries will address up-and-coming topics such as CGM use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes and GLP-1 use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The conference will also provide valuable information regarding AID systems, economic implications, and disparities across the continuum of diabetes care, and emerging AI content related to treatment of this disease.

Participants will be able to list at least 2 new take home pearls to assess patient’s abilities to meet targets and helpful strategies/therapies to help patients achieve those targets.
